This is my India vlog of the Jaipur Monkey Temple in the Aravalli Hills of Rajisthan was probably one of my favorite experiences on my two week trip to India. The monkeys at the temple were pretty feisty and mischievous. As a walked into the temple there were many "monkey guides" who wanted to walked me up to the temple for a fee with the promise to protect me from the monkeys. It took a lot of conversations of me assuring them I would be ok, rhesus macaques are normally aggressive but not to the extent of harm. This is a for sure stop when visiting Jaipur and requires moderate exercise as you are walking up and down a hill to see the monkey temple and the water tank behind it. A couple of things here, I would buy peanuts and if you are tired, there is normally a guide who will take you up and down the hill on his motorcycle for a small fee. The Monkey Temple is called a few names from what I have seen, and there are two monkey temples in Jaipur, this one is the Galtaji Temple for reference or the Hanuman Temple. This temple has also been covered by National Geographic.
